'Robin Hood' Cheat Sheet: Everything You Need To Know
Their collaborations have taken them across the globe and through the fabric of time, from ancient Rome to French wine country to the drug-filled streets of '70s-era New York to the hidden world of government espionage. Back and forth, back and forth Russell Crowe and Ridley Scott have gone with "Gladiator," "A Good Year," "American Gangster" and "Body of Lies."
For their fifth movie together, they're headed back in time again — way back to the 12th century. It's in this time period — a moment during which England was undergoing often violent social, political and economic upheaval — that they choose to set "Robin Hood," a sort of origin story of the folkloric champion of the common man.
MTV News has been following this project from its origins as well, bringing you development updates, casting news, trailers, clips and interviews with the cast and crew. Now that the film is due in theaters on Friday (May 14), we bring you everything you need to know about "Robin Hood" with another edition of MTV News' big-screen cheat sheet.
From 'Nottingham' to the 'Hood'
Back in summer 2007, Scott had plans for a film called "Nottingham" that would feature the iconic sheriff facing off against a Robin Hood cast as the bad guy. "L.A. Confidential" writer Brian Helgeland was tapped to write the screenplay. Producer Brian Grazer called it the " 'Gladiator' version of Robin Hood" and cast Crowe as the sheriff.
A year later, the project took a wacky turn, when Scott told MTV News that Crowe would be playing both the Sheriff of Nottingham and Robin Hood. But wait! Months later Grazer told us that Crowe would play a version of Robin who takes over the identity of Nottingham after he dies early in the film. But ... but ... wait! By February 2009, the project had shifted again. It was now called "Robin Hood" and would tell its story strictly from that title character's point of view. Got it? Crowe is Robin and he faces off against Nottingham, just as the folklore tells us.
Populating Sherwood Forest
With the plot specifics locked down, Scott began to build the rest of his cast. Cate Blanchett signed on to play Robin's love interest, Maid Marion. Mark Strong was cast as one of the king's enforcers, William Hurt came onboard as a legendary knight named the 1st Earl of Pembroke, and Danny Huston became the nefarious King John.
Filming kicked off in late March 2009, and by the end of the year, the first trailer popped up online. It was filled with plenty of creepily dark forests, an eerie soundtrack and a sneak peek at some truly badass action scenes. The scope of the movie was clearly enormous. A second trailer — showcasing more action and a heady dose of storytelling — dropped online in March. We also found out the film would open the 63rd Cannes Film Festival.
Meet Your New Folk Hero
Before Crowe and Scott took their film to the Mediterranean, we got a look at a slew of fresh clips: the King's ill-advised taxation scheme, Robin's introduction of his blushing new bride, a nighttime ambush in the forest, a peek into Robin's childhood and one wicked horse-and-sword battle scene.
The director and actor also sat down with MTV News to take us inside the process of creating their fresh take on the well-known Robin Hood story. "I just wouldn't have done it if it were a conventional take," Crowe told us. "There's no need for anyone in the world to see that series of clichés again."
That was exactly Scott's feeling as well. "I never liked the green tights," he said. "I didn't like the feather in the hat. It didn't work for me. Even as a kid, it was not my idea of Robin Hood.... Kevin Costner's [1991 version] was fun, leaning more heavily on the clowning of Robin Hood," Scott explained. "On this one, I wanted to go more real, because I really believe he existed. The ones to date always treated Robin Hood like a myth, part of a fairy story."

Facebook founder called trusting users dumb f*cks * Alert * Print * Post comment Peace Prize for Mr Zuckerberg?
Loveable Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg called his first few thousand users "dumb fucks" for trusting him with their data, published IM transcripts show. Facebook hasn't disputed the authenticity of the transcript.
Zuckerberg was chatting with an unnamed friend, apparently in early 2004. Business Insider, which has a series of quite juicy anecdotes about Facebook's early days, takes the credit for this one.
The founder was then 19, and he may have been joking. But humour tells you a lot. Some might say that this exchange shows Zuckerberg was not particularly aware of the trust issue in all its depth and complexity.
Facebook is currently in the spotlight for its relentlessly increasing exposure of data its users assumed was private. This is nicely illustrated in the interactive graphic you can find here or by clicking the piccie.
In turn, its fall from grace has made backers of the 'social media' bubble quite nervous. Many new white collar nonjobs created since the mid-Noughties depend on this. But much of the data created by Web2.0rrhea is turning out to be quite useless for advertisers - or anyone else. Marketeers are having a harder time justifying expenditure in sifting through the Web 2.0 septic tank for useful information.
Facebook's data stash is regarded as something quite special. It's authenticated against a real person, and the users tend to be over 35 and middle class - the ideal demographic for selling high value goods and services. In addition, users have so far been 'sticky' to Facebook, something quite exceptional since social networks fall out of fashion (Friends Reunited, Friendster) as quickly as they attract users.
Facebook also has something else going for it - ordinary users regard it as the natural upgrade to Hotmail. In fact, once the crap has been peeled away, there may not be much more to Facebook than the Yahoo! or Hotmail Address Book with knobs on: the contact book is nicely integrated, uploading photos to share easier, while everything else is gravy. Unlike tech-savvy users, many people remain loyal to these for years. ®CHI Limited Edition Dazzle Pink

My ideal job
My ideal job is a job which has the link with English, because my profession is english. I wish I would listen to,speak, read, and write english very well. we all know that english can be used in all walks of lifes. So I can not describe my ideal job correctly. Maybe one day I will face to so many strange faces to speak english loudly, and they will praise me: " oh, It is totally different ! " I just want to say what I should do now. I am lacking in knowledges and have no experience that is worth showing off. If I still do not want to study hard , I will be eliminated by the society. I need to charge and improve myself. Not only studying knowledges acquired from books, but also expanding the breadth of my knowledges. Everyday do the same thing : accumulation of knowledge! I also need to make more new friends and communicate with them in english-practise English!I should be high-hearted. I am accumulating power and waiting for action.

characteristics
Such convenience and fast to built, and unrestricted by the time and space,Ad hoc networks have got wide and deep application .But due to some of its Lacoste Polo characteristics such as the absence of infrastructure, frequent changes in network topology, Ad hoc networks can be attacked easily. Consequently, it is more difficult to design security routing protocol for ralph lauren polo shirts Ad hoc networks. The thesis researched on routing protocol security in Ad hoc networks. First of all, an attempt had been made to compare the performance of four prominent routing protocols (AODV, DSR, DSDV and TORA) for mobile Ad hoc network. By comparing the packet delivery Lacoste Polo Shirts ratio, average end-to-end delay and normalized routing overhead with different discount wedding dresses node connections for these four routing protocols, the simulation method and results were presented; the dynamic effect can be seen by the "nam". Then, analyzed several typical security routing protocols in Ad hoc networks. On the basis of comprehensive analysis in the routing attack carried out the custom made prom dresses insufficiency. Finally, in view of the insufficiency, we brought forward a new thought.

wireless self-organized networks
Ad hoc networks, also called wireless self-organized networks, are multi-hop real time autonomous systems which are formed by a set of mobile terminals with wireless transceiver. Independent of infrastructure and distributed control mechanism, nodes can move around randomly in the network. Communications between nodes rely on forwarding of intermediate nodes. Frequently random movement of nodes will result in time-varying characteristics of network topology. Therefore, routing algorithm is a key issue in the research of Ad hoc networks.Routing protocol focuses on the way of setting up path from source to destination andtransmitting information correctly along this path. In view of these features, routing protocols of Ad hoc networks are different from those of wired networks and center control wireless networks. Several points must be taken into account in the design of routing protocols, such as no center node, multi-hop, self-organized and energy constraint. Routing protocols have become the key points and challenges in the research of wireless self-organized networks protocol stack design. This thesis mainly research load balance technologies of routing protocols in Ad hoc networks, which can solve the congestion problem of routing protocols in traditional mobile self-organized networks.

Reduce Waste on Campus
As is known to all, waste on campus has become a more and more serious problem. We can easily see many students dump a lot of food in the garbage can. Some students spend thousands of yuan buying fashionable clothes and so on.Everyone wants to get cheap Lacoste POLO Shirts.
The negative effects of waste can be shown in the following aspects. In the first place, it makes some students dependent on their parents for money, which is harmful to their development. If they don’t learn to support themselves, they will be “useless people” when they graduate. In the second place, it is not easy for our parents to arrange for our schooling. Are there polo shirts you would like?Last but not the least important, there is no denying the fact that our country is still poor. There are many people who cannot go to university and many poor people still need our help.
As far as I am concerned, I should set a good example to reduce waste on campus. First of all, I will refrain from wasting anything, from food to stationery. Ralph lauren polo is your love. What’s more, I’m determined to call on more schoolmates to fight against waste. Only through these measures can we hope to reduce waste on campus.

boys
In recent years, all of a sudden there were many poor boys and girls in the street with a board in which their northface outlet were listed. Most of them past the college entrance examination but because of the tuition they cannot go to study. When first youth appeared, people would feel heart-broken and give money. But to the sudden popularity of the poor children, people were puzzled and hesitated. How could they support so many north face outlet? Their pity and compassion could give the students material things but couldn’t save their souls. The most shocking thing was that some people make use of the mentality that people are easier to show sympathy for children. They gathered many children about 10 years and dressed them in rags, then let these children beg for people while they just stood secretly to observe. There are also some other methods they employed to carry out their begging. The methods cheap northface jackets above are some familiar ones. Maybe now there are some new creative methods appeared in our life covertly. With these innovative methods to get people’s compassion the begging will be unprecedented prosperous. We cannot help being amazed at the prompt progress of begging. Maybe later when people find that their work is not so prosperous than the begging, the team of the begging will be stronger.

Beautiful Smile and Love
The poor are very wonderful people. One evening we went out and we picked up four people from the street. And one of them was in a most terrible condition, and I told the sisters: You take care of the other three. I take care of this one who looked worse. So I did for her all that my love can do. I put her in bed, and there was such a beautiful smile on her face. She took hold of my hand as she said just the words "thank you" and she died. I could not help but examine my conscience[良心]before her and I asked what would I say if I was in her place. And my answer was very simple. I would have tried to draw a little attention to myself. I would have said I am hungry, that I am dying, I am cold, I am in pain, or something, but she gave me much more-she gave me her grateful love. And she died with a smile on her face. As did that man whom we picked up from the drain, half eaten with worms, and we brought him to the home. "I have lived like an animal in the street, but I am going to die like an angel, loved and cared for." And it was so wonderful to see the greatness of that man who could speak like that, who could die like that without blaming anybody, without cursing anybody, without comparing anything. Like an angel-this is the greatness of our people. And that is why we believe what Jesus had said: I was hungry, I was naked, I was homeless, I was unwanted, unloved, uncared for, and you did it to me.
I believe that we are not real social workers. We may be doing social work in the eyes of the people, but we are really contemplatives in the heart of the world. For we are touching the body of Christ twenty-four hours…And I think that in our family we don't need bombs and guns, to destroy, to bring peace, just get together, love one another, bring that peace, that joy, that strength of presence of each other in the home. And we will be able to overcome all the evil that is in the world.
And with this prize that I have received as a Prize of Peace, I am going to try to make the home for many people who have no home. Because I believe that love begins at home, and if we can create a home for the poor I think that more and more love will spread. And we will be able through this understanding love to bring peace be the good news to the poor. The poor in our own family first, in our country and in the world. To be able to do this, our Sisters, our lives have to be wove with prayer. They have to be woven with Christ to be able to understand, to be able to share. Because to be woven with Christ is to be able to understand, to be able to share. Because today there is so much suffering…When I pick up a person from the street, hungry, I give him a plate of rice, a piece of bread, I have satisfied. I have removed that hunger. But a person who is shut out, who feels unwanted, unloved, terrified, the person who has been thrown out from society-that poverty is so full of hurt and so unbearable…And so let us always meet each other with a smile, for the smile is the beginning of love, and once we begin to love each other naturally we want to do something.

mother
I had just returned from an income tax audit with the Internal Revenue Service, which everyone agrees is as pleasant as a bad session in the dentist's chair. The audit had gone well, but I was relieved it was over. To celebrate I bought an ice cream cone and sat in my car to read a letter from my eldest daughter Linda, a college freshman. "Dear Mom," the letter began, "I know you will be shocked to learn that you are going to be a grandmother." She was 20 years old and unmarried. My initial response was, "This can't be happening! I'm a middle-aged jobless divorcee and I'm not going to raise any more kids!" I had a six- and a twelve-year-old at home. Raising children alone is not easy, especially on a limited income. However, after I reflected on how my daughter must be feeling, I telephoned her and suggested that she complete her semester and then come home. We would figure out what to do.
The parents of the boy, a freshman engineering student, were also calm, but their primary objective seemed to be to make sure that whatever happened did not compro-mise their son's future. A marriage was never really considered; they were in favor of adoption. At least medi-cal bills were not a major concern; though I had been laid off, my insurance continued in force at a small cost, and it would cover my daughter's medical bills, likely to amount to several thousand dollars, albeit not those of the child.
So at the end of the semester my daughter came home. She quickly ruled out abortion on religious grounds. The idea of adoption was appealing, but we were somewhat put off by the totality of the rupture between birth mother and child imposed by the state welfare department. They chose the new family, and the fate of the child would be utterly unknown to us. One day Linda commented that she wished we could find an adoptive family in a distant location who were well educated, already had one child (so that the baby would not be an only child), loved animals, were of her religion, well off financially, with a nice home; and in which the mother was a stay-at-home mom. Two days later my brother in Arkansas, an attorney, phoned to report that his wife knew someone with a friend whose baby girl had died unexpectedly the year before. The grieving mother was unable to have any more children. The family wanted very much to adopt: would we be interested in talking to them about adoption? We received a long letter describing the family in great detail. Their profile corresponded point for point to our wish list for an adoptive family. It was truly uncanny. Linda and I both knew instantly that here was our solution.
The baby was a blond blue-eyed boy weighing 3.5 kilos. We held him twice and decided we had better not be with him any more lest we change our minds. Our lawyer presented the proper legal papers and physically removed the baby from the hospital before turning him over to his new parents. The adoptive family sent Linda a big bouquet of flowers with a card "from your Arkansas family". Two weeks later the adoptive father phoned to tell me that he had that day put the first funds in the bank for the baby's college education. My daughter returned to university to get her degree, met her "Mr Right", married and had four more children.
Some 22 years later I was in Arkansas visiting my lawyer brother before returning to China to teach for another year. My sister-in-law telephoned the adoptive family and asked if they were interested in meeting me. The next day I received an excited phone call from that "baby": Could he come over for a visit?
When Bryan and his adoptive mother arrived the next day, we spent two hours sharing photos and stories and exchanging e-mail addresses. His parents had always made it clear to him that he was adopted; indeed, how else to explain pale skin, flaxen hair and blue eyes in a family of dark-haired olive-skinned descendants of southern Italians?
Bryan had become an extraordinary young man.He was an Eagle Scout at the age of 13, Arkansas's youngest ever. (The Boy Scouts are a character-building organization, and few boys rise to the top level; to become an Eagle Scout is like receiving a grand testimonial to one's virtue and versatility.) He had been a football star in high school. After attending Brigham Young University for one year, he had served a two-year stint as a representative of his church in South Korea. Now he was preparing to return to university. I told his mother that I believed we had made the right decision 22 years earlier; the next day she called to say how much the comment meant to her.
As it happened, Linda's eldest daughter would also be a sophomore at BYU that fall, and her next eldest daughter would be at the branch campus in Idaho. I told him that his half-siblings were unaware of his existence; Linda subsequently decided to tell her children about Bryan. They were surprised and curious to find out what their new brother was like. The two girls were quick to set up a rendezvous with their tall, fair-haired, blue-eyed half-brother on the BYU campus in Utah, but birth mother and son have yet to meet.

I WANT YOU TO LOVE ME! ! !
I want you to hold me...
to tell me you love me
I want you to put
no one else above me.
In a sea of hearts
there's only you and me.
You're the only one who touches me...
the only one who moves me.
You're my fondest wish
of what the future could be.
I may hold the lock,
but you have the key
to the garden that blooms
deep inside of me.
I'll be your servant,
whatever you want me to be...
If you'll just say
you love me.
to tell me you love me
I want you to put
no one else above me.
In a sea of hearts
there's only you and me.
